“Plowing the ground and Planting the seed that Christ died for you.”

About US

The Gospel Plowboys are a group of men that are dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through song. Our attire, which consists of red ties, white shirts, and blue denim bib overalls, represent the colors of Old Glory. This dress also represents the 1930’s and 40’s. A time of depression, a time of struggle, but a time of when people drew nearer to Jesus. We must get back to honoring and serving The Lord Jesus Christ!

NEW SINGLE! "Preachin' Silas"

Morning Glory Music is thrilled to announce the release of the debut single from the forthcoming album, Something to Be Said, by The Gospel Plowboys. Written by Michael Jenkins, "Preachin' Silas" is a heartfelt ballad that chronicles the dedication of a God-fearing coal miner, resonating deeply with believers everywhere. Driven by the banjo, this song embodies the rich tradition of Appalachian storytelling and honors the unwavering faith of hardworking individuals who rely on God.

"’Preachin’ Silas’ is about a coal mining preacher who, undeterred by the harsh conditions of the coal mines, fervently delivers sermons of hope and resilience to the miners laboring alongside him, illuminating their spirits amidst the darkness with words of faith and solidarity,” says Michael Jenkins.

The song features Michael Jenkins on lead vocal and guitar; Daniel Schronce on mandolin; Alec McCallister on fiddle; Peden Williams on banjo; and Aaron Ramsey on bass.

"Preachin' Silas" is available for download and streaming today. Airplay Direct subscribers can download by request at Mountain Fever Records.
